Contacting the Domain Name Seller

After you win a domain name on GoDaddy Auctions®, you must contact the domain seller.

To Contact the Domain Name Seller

  1. Log in to GoDaddy Auctions.
  2. Hover your mouse over the Bidding List menu, and then select Won.
  3. Click Email Seller for the domain name.
  4. Enter the message, and then click Send Mail.

What happens next depends on the seller's registrar. If the seller uses GoDaddy as a registrar, they can initiate an account change. The domain will automatically move to your account on the 5th or 6th day (pending time zones).

If the seller uses a third party registrar and the payment amount is under $5,000, there must be a verification process before you're able to contact them. On the 6th day, the seller will automatically be contacted with word that the funds have been verified and the transfer process can begin.
